1. Unpack the file Cedega.zip that you just downloaded.
2. You should see a directory (a.k.a. folder) called Cedega. Inside it there are two other folders "Cedega 6.0.2-1" and "cedega-engine-6.0.3.rar_FILES".
3. Run cedega either from (in GNOME) Applications > Games > Transgaming Cedega or from a terminal type cedega and it should run.
4. You will see a Setup Wizard, click Forward to skip the Welcome screen.
5. In this step the wizard will ask for a username and password, leave them blank. click the "Install Local Package" button.
6. Open the cedega-engine package located in the "cedega-engine-6.0.3.rar_FILES".
7. In this step, the stup wizard will ask for information about your computer. I should fill up by itself, so click "Forward".
8. Run the test from this step, this way you'll know that everything is OK.
9. That should be all. Click finish and enjoy!.

for cdoublejj and any others using a low resolution, you can set your desktop resolution higher than your monitor/video is capable of operating, and then "pan" around the screen by edgeing off the screen in the desired location. Instructions for setup of this layout are on numerous forums, xorg's site, and most likely, your distro's forums. I use xfce and know it works just fine, though i run at 1600X1200 under compiz-fusion these days.
Package works as described above. Follow the instructions and you're good to go.

@cdoublejj: Try using the key combination Ctrl + Alt + "+/-", this will change Xorg's resolution on the fly. If all else fails Ctrl + Alt + Backspace will force-restart the X server. And try to avoid using desktop effects (compiz/beryl/compiz fusion).

is this the full app of cedega or just an update?
12.Posted by uromastix87 on Sep 16 2008 at 02:29
If its the full version what file do we run? There are at least like 200 files in that maze and I can't find ONE that would be the installer.oh and silvestreh your installation instructions skip at least one step that should be 3 which is start up the installer! 'Cause I think I'd need to install it before I'd find it in apps>games>Transgaming Cedega right!
Mabe I don't know what I'm talking about.
