niice ne news on installing through a standard definition tv instead of HDTV? i know you can do it on ydl 5.0. ne help would be nice. cheers.

Is this the ps3 version of YDL 6.0? or what. In one of the ftp download mirrors the 6.0 version does not state it is for ps3.

This ISO doesn't pass the disk check but it did install on my 2nd attempt.
BTW when you are at kboot use the tab button to select what resolution you want

i need some help please. i brun it to a dvd install it be than it can't load up. it says lease fail and ask me for kboot and i can't even go back to useing the ps3 normally please help i don't want this linux anymore

Hold the power button down until you hear it beep three times. It should ask you to set the diplay settings and bring you back to the normal ps3 system

i did hold it but only two been is heard and no it doesn't ask me to do anything just come back to trying to load up linux and lease fail and kboot and all those things any more ideas. oh and i try to format the heart drive on my cusin ps3 and try again i still stuck there plz plz help!!!!!!!!!

alittle detail on the two beep: when i hold it for 2s it beep onece then the green light start flashing for about 4s more it beep and again then it shut off.

What I meant was that when you turn it on and hear the first beep, don't take your finger off until you see the display setting come up

Works 100% on my PS3!!!
Check out the installation guides(links below)
-I updated my PS3 firmware to the latest - 2.42 before running the install!
-Also i backed up all my savegames and movies to my pendrive as u need to format the HDD prior to YDL 6.0 install!

ISO passed the disc check easily!
Installation took about an hr or so!

NOTE1 - U have to have a HD Ready or Full HD tv for running YDL6 properly as there are display probs occuring in SDTVs!!
NOTE2 - During installation a USB Keyboard is ESSENTIAL!! a mouse ain't necessary but if u have one lying around its a great help!
